Microsoft Fabric Consulting for UK Mid-Market Businesses
We implement Fabric data architecture and data pipelines to governed reporting. Designed for long-term ownership, not just a quick deployment.
Discuss your Fabric projectPlatform Architecture
All workloads share one governed data layer
What we deliver
End-to-end Fabric implementation covering every layer of the modern Microsoft data platform.
Lakehouse Architecture
We design and implement Microsoft Fabric Lakehouses with your schemas and best practices for performance and interconnectivity.
Data Warehouse
Modern Fabric warehouses built with performance, governance and best practices for all analytical workloads.
Data Pipelines & Dataflows
Automated ELT/ETL pipelines using ADF, Data Factory and Power Query connecting your data sources.
OneLake Governance
Security, lineage tracking, data classification and access controls across the platform from day one.
Migration to Fabric
Smooth, managed migrations from Azure Synapse, Power BI Premium, or legacy platforms to the unified Fabric experience.
Direct Lake & Semantic Models
High-performance reporting using Direct Lake mode, eliminating Data Duplication between the lakehouse and Power BI.
Methodology
Our approach
We don’t just switch on Fabric - we design an architecture that fits your organisation, migrates data smoothly, and makes sure your teams can own the platform going forward. Every engagement includes governance documentation, certification and adoption planning so the investment delivers long-term value, not just a proof of concept.

Common questions
Microsoft Fabric questions
What is Microsoft Fabric and how does it differ from Azure Synapse?
Microsoft Fabric is Microsoft's unified analytics platform that combines data engineering, data science, real-time analytics and business intelligence in a single SaaS product. Unlike Azure Synapse, Fabric is built around a shared OneLake storage layer, meaning all tools read from the same data rather than moving it between services. For most mid-market organisations, Fabric is now the right starting point.
Do we need to migrate from Azure Synapse to Microsoft Fabric?
Not immediately. Synapse remains supported and many workloads run well on it. However, Fabric offers a simpler architecture and a single licence that covers more tools, so most new projects should be built on Fabric. We help clients assess whether migration is worth the investment or whether running both in parallel makes more sense for their situation.
What Microsoft licence do we need for Fabric?
Microsoft Fabric requires a Fabric capacity licence (F SKU) or can be accessed through Power BI Premium Per User for limited workloads. We help clients work out the right capacity size for their usage patterns and negotiate with Microsoft licensing teams where appropriate.
How long does a Microsoft Fabric implementation take?
A foundational Fabric build - Lakehouse, data pipelines, and an initial semantic model - typically takes eight to fourteen weeks depending on source system complexity. We work in structured phases so you see working data before the project is complete, rather than waiting until the end.
