What we build
From data integration to governance, we deliver every layer of a modern data platform.
Data Warehouse Design
We design and implement modern data warehouses using star schemas and best practices for performance and maintainability.
Cloud Data Platforms
Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks - we build, configure and integrate cost-effective cloud data platforms tailored to your business.
Data Integration & Pipelines
Automated ETL/ELT pipelines bringing data from multiple source systems into a single, governed environment.
Data Governance
Data cataloguing, lineage, classification, lineage monitoring and access control built into the platform from day one.
Semantic Modelling
Business-friendly data models that translate raw technical schemas into terms and measures the business understands.
Migration & Modernisation
We plan and execute migrations with minimal disruption, whether from on-prem, legacy warehouse, or another cloud environment.
Methodology
Technologies we work with
- Microsoft Azure (Data Factory, Synapse, SQL)
- Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, Dataflows)
- Databricks (Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, MLFlow)
- Power BI (Semantic Models, Dataflows, Paginated Reports)
When you need this
- Your analytics platform has no proper data foundation
- Reports are slow, inconsistent or unreliable
- You need to unify data from multiple ERP/CRM systems
- You're preparing your data estate for AI and machine learning
Common questions
Data platform questions
Do we need a data warehouse before we can use Power BI?
Not always, but usually. Connecting Power BI directly to operational systems (ERP, CRM) works as a starting point, but it creates performance problems and unreliable numbers as usage grows. A proper data platform gives you a single governed source that all reports draw from - making Power BI faster and your numbers trustworthy.
What is the difference between a data lakehouse and a data warehouse?
A data warehouse stores structured, processed data optimised for reporting. A data lakehouse combines raw storage (lake) with structured query capability (warehouse) in one layer - so you can store raw source data and serve clean reporting tables from the same platform. Microsoft Fabric's OneLake architecture is a lakehouse model.
How do you connect a data warehouse to our ERP system?
We build data pipelines that extract data from your ERP - Business Central, SAP, Dynamics, or others - on a scheduled basis and load it into your data platform. We handle incremental loads, error handling, and schema changes so the pipeline remains reliable as your source systems change.
How long does a data platform build take?
A core data platform - ingestion pipelines, staging layer, and a reporting-ready data model - typically takes ten to sixteen weeks for a mid-market business with three to five source systems. We structure work in phases so you get usable reporting data before the full platform is complete.
